Stock Photography Tips: Check for Noise Artifacts

Reader Post: 'Thank you for the stock photography tips in this article. I got quite frustrated because so many of my photos were rejected by stock agencies due to what they termed to be a large amount of noise artifacts.
I now consider the issue of noise whenever I shoot. Good lighting is a must - especially for studio shots and of course for low light shooting outdoors. I fix my ISO as low as possible and use a tripod as often as I can.
I've also started using noise-removal software for those shots that I consider to be good, if this was the only reason for them being rejected. It takes time to fix images and resubmit, but often that is preferable to having to set up a whole new shoot!
If you want to be successful in stock photography it's important to be resilient and patient. If you keep submitting images and continue to learn from the feedback you're getting on rejections, and you fix those mistakes as best you can, you can build a stock portfolio online that you're really proud of. It does take time though.'
