Select the Background first

Reader Post: 'First be sure the background is the best possible for your subjects. Photographers will usually know better than to have a tree or post in the background appear to be sprouting from someone's head in the picture but fail to notice other distracting elements that will be in their pictures.
Even without having the subjects change their location or position the photographer can take a different angle or get higher or lower than the subjects and change the background and dramatically improve the picture and minimize time spent in post processing trying to fix things later.'
