DSLR Camera Reviews

If you want to buy the best DSLR camera for you money, make sure to read our DSLR reviews. Keep in mind that the brand of your first camera is often the same brand as your second, third and even fourth DSLR. People are creatures of habit and once a consumer has picked a brand, they generally stick with it. It’s therefore particularly important to make the right choice from the beginning.

DSLR Reviews

DSLR Camera Reviews There are many reputable brands out there that are equally worthy of your attention. The choice you make will inevitable come down to a combination of brand awareness and price. Remember that brands usually come with proprietary limitations on usable accessories and lenses; see what your brand offers before you commit to buying.

Most camera brands have been around for decades, and though some have a larger marketing budget than others due to their inherently larger market share, it does not necessarily mean that their products are significantly better than others. Always do your research and explore the different features of a range of camera models, as well as advantages, drawbacks and costs before you make the final decision on what brand is right for you.

Where to Buy the Best DSLR

With so many stores stocking DSLR’s, the choice between retailers is overwhelming.

Shopping Online: Shopping online offers the versatility of choice and usually the most competitive prices. Most online stores are pretty reliable, but always make sure that you check for a high user rating. The disadvantage is that you won’t be able to ask in-depth questions and should the worst happen, you won’t have an easy port of call for repairs. The exception is shopping directly from the manufacturer, which can also be done online, but with benefit of help, servicing and repairs just a phone call away.

Department Stores and Camera Houses: If you’re looking for an entry-level DSLR, then your local superstore or electronic warehouse will most likely accommodate all your needs. Specialist camera houses in larger towns and cities will generally have a larger and most diverse range of DSLR’s and accessories, better flexibility on packages, repair facilities and competitive prices, but won’t be as cheap as shopping online.

Secondhand: Don’t forget the second-hand option for those on a budget. If you’re careful, you can pick up a fabulous camera for a seriously reduced price, but be aware that there is a lot that can go wrong too! Your best bet is going online to auction sites such as eBay or Trade Me. Always look for damage notifications and if at all possible, inspect the camera before buying.
