About Mia Rose

How lucky am I to be living just about as close to Paradise as one can get. I'm talking about the Eastern Coast of Central Queensland in Australia, at the foot of the Great Barrier Reef, and a stone's throw from some of the most beautiful islands in the world.

I've always been interested in photography, but I think it's fair to say that my passion to pursue this form of art really took off since we migrated to Australia about eight years ago. It's impossible not to be inspired by nature at its finest - and I'm grateful for my surroundings every single day of my life.

That said, I was born in South-Africa and my memories of my homeland are scented with the African bush. I still visit as often as I can and am probably at my happiest sitting around a campfire after a glorious day of photographing African wild life.

After Timbavati, the Whitsundays, located just north from where I currently live, is another of my favorite places in the world. The photographs below are samples of my work taken at home and on my travels and I'm proud to share it with you.
